Overview The City of Melville is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to design, supply, install, test, commission and hand over replacement sports field floodlighting infrastructure at Len Shearer Reserve, 521 Marmion St, Booragoon, Western Australia. About Len Shearer Reserve is a busy and active site, with more than 2,000 registered participants across athletics and soccer, as well as a number of casual community users each day. Objectives The key project objectives are to: Replace deteriorated and ageing floodlighting infrastructure Improve lighting performance, reliability and operational safety Improve energy efficiency through modern LED technology Reduce ongoing maintenance requirements and operational risk Support football, athletics and broader community use Maintain reserve operations throughout the construction period wherever reasonably practicable Scope The scope includes: Complete replacement of the existing ageing floodlighting system across both playing areas with a modern LED sports lighting system Supply and installation of associated poles and footings Supply and installation of electrical infrastructure, lighting controls and cabling Testing and certification of the new floodlighting system All ancillary works required to deliver a complete and operational system Planning and undertaking the Works in a manner that takes reasonable care to minimise impacts on reserve users, where practicable
