This Tender is invited by the Issuer. Job details Data Platform Architect: Scope for the role: The role is critical to supporting the development of ACMA’s data platform and in delivering the data strategy by providing architectural guidance and consulting oversight for the migration to Microsoft Fabric, designing modern data architecture patterns that enable advance analytics and data science capabilities, and establishing foundational practice for core data management and governance. We are entering a phase of transformational change, operational uplift, and continuous improvement. To support this, we require a Data and platform architect responsible for: Providing architectural leadership to guide in next phase of platform evolution. Leading the transition from Power BI Premium capacity to Microsoft Fabric capacity, ensuring architectural oversight and alignment with modern analytics platform capabilities. Evaluating and supporting the enablement and adoption of additional Microsoft Fabric workloads across Data Science, Data Engineering, Lakehouse, and Governance to uplift analytics and data platform capabilities. Reviewing, redesigning, and optimising the data lake to ensure it is robust, scalable, secure, and supports self‑service analytics across the organisation. Redesigning the data lake for improved utilisation aligned with Medallion architecture to support governance and self‑service analytics Reviewing and leading data modelling activities across all layers of the data warehouse Designing the platform for advance analytics and data science leveraging Azure data platform architecture and unified Fabric services Supporting the enablement of self-service analytics in a governed framework that embeds controlled, and secure access to data and also supports master data, reference data and alignment to the ACMA’s metadata management framework Embedding security, governance, lineage, and data quality across the platform. Guide teams through solution options, risk ,trade-off and implementation approaches Leading and supporting the implementation of data science capabilities to ensure seamless integration with the wider data architecture and platform ecosystem. Establishing foundational data management capabilities, including strategy, operating model, and standards. Review and Design solutions to integrate geospatial data into the Azure data platform and enable integration and interoperability with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and Azure Maps
