About this tender

ABOUT THE RFQ: Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is seeking submissions from competent contractors to provide materials and services to undertake Engineering and Visual Inspections. SCOPE OF WORKS: The scope of work consists of visual & engineering inspections of the following structure types: • Underbridges • Overbridges Bridge #1 - Moonee Ponds creek Viaduct 24.064km - Glenroy Engineering Inspection. Due between 12th Jan 2027 and 5th June 2027 (Schedule date 0f 25th March 2027) Bridge has 21 Spans with a total length of 318m, with double tracks. Includes 11 x 18.5m Plate Web Girder Riveted girders and 10 x 12m Plate Web Girder Riveted girders siting on 10 Trestle piers. Maximum height 42m (Invert to Top of Rail) Good Vehicle access to both deck/rail level and base of trestle piers As the bridge is a steel rail bridge aged over 40 years must be inspected from no more than at arm’s length. Requires a detailed inspection by Engineer with a review of previous load rating and model General arrangement drawings # 11PH_11PL Bridge #2 - Bunbury Street Overbridge 4.88km – Footscray Engineering Inspection. Due between 12th Jan 2027 and 5th June 2027 (Schedule date 0f 25th March 2027) Bridge has 1 span, with a span length of 8.7m and 422m wide, with double tracks. Includes rail deck section x 8m, mild steel beams in concrete (battle deck) section x 142m, and concrete arch section x 272m. Maximum height of 4.9m Top of rail to underside of road deck. Foot/ Hi rail access from Sim Street (across Sim Street bridge) Requires a detailed inspection by Engineer with a review of previous load rating and model General arrangement drawings # 30A/2154 & 34_2329_15NF Bridge #3 Maribyrnong River viaduct 17.356km – Keilor East Visual Inspection. Due between 12th Jan 2027 and 5th June 2027 (Schedule date 0f 25th March 2027) Bridge has 25 Spans with a total length of 384.5m, with double tracks. Includes 13 x 18.5m Plate Web Girder Riveted girders and 12 x 12m Plate Web Girder Riveted girders siting on 12 Trestle piers. Maximum height 54m (Invert to Top of Rail) Good Vehicle access to both deck/rail level and base of trestle piers As the bridge is a steel rail bridge aged over 40 years must be inspected from no more than at arm’s length. General arrangement drawing # 11PH_11PK Bridge #4 Sim Street (Maribyrnong River) Bridge 4.655km – Footscray Visual Inspection. Due between 12th Jan 2027 and 5th June 2027 (Schedule date 0f 25th March 2027) Bridge has 3 spans, with a total length of 105m, with double tracks. Includes 2 x 26m Plate Web Girder Riveted Through girders and 1 x 53m Through Truss girder. Maximum height 8m (Invert to Top of Rail) Spans 1 (Sim st) and 3 (Maribyrnong St) are over roads, span 2 is over the Maribyrnong River Foot/ Hi rail access from Sim Street (across Sim Street bridge) General arrangement drawing #30A/2034 Bridge #5 Wiangaree – Richmond River 847.862km - Wiangaree Engineering Inspection. Due between 30th June 2026 and 21st November 2026 (Scheduled date of 6th September 2026) Bridge has 14 spans, with a total length of 182m, with a single track. Includes 1 x 37.4m Through Truss span, 1 x 21.6m Plate Web Girder Riveted Throughgirder spans, 10 x 10.3m Plate Web Girder Welded spans and 2 x 8.6m Broad Flange Beam spans. Maximum height 20m (Invert to Top of Rail) Span 1 is over a private driveway, Span 10 is the Truss span over the Richmond River. Access to Abutment 1 via roadway, or Hi-Rail access via level xing to the city direction approx. 1.5km General arrangement drawing CV0363769_69-11_NSWGR_10-3m_8-6m_6-7m_Spans, 67370_Document_001, NCL bridge drawing 321, 0152449 - Deck Replacement Spans 4-5, 0152450 - Deck Replacement Spans 4-5 Bridge #6 The Risk - Richmond River 851.247km – The Risk Engineering Inspection. Due between 30th June 2026 and 21st November 2026 (Scheduled date of 6th September 2026) Bridge has 18 spans, with a total length of 198m, with a single track. Includes 1 x 37.4m Through Truss span, 10 x 10.3m Plate Web Girder Welded spans and 8 x 8.6m Broad Flange Beam spans. Maximum height 20m (Invert to Top of Rail) Spans 7 is over the Richmond River Access to Abutment 1 via roadway, or Hi-Rail access via level xing to the city direction approx. 1.5km General arrangement drawing 0480336_COC Bridge #7 Sydenham / Illawarra Flyover 15.36km – Sydenham Engineering inspection. Due between 26th June 2026 and 05th December 2026 (Scheduled date of 30th September 2026) Bridge has 1 span, with a total length of 37.41m, with double tracks. Includes 1 x 37.41 Thru truss span. Maximum height of 5.06m Span passes over 6 Sydney train lines, Sydney trains access required and Sydney Metro where applicable. General arrangement drawing # 0066129_A0C & 0066151_A0C Provisional Item included for the inspection to be carried out over multiple mobilisations in the event it cannot be completed in a single combined possession for all lines, inclusive of the adjacent RIM’s (Sydney Metro/Sydney Trains) and the ARTC lines. REGISTRATION: Tender documents must be obtained after registration. ENQUIRIES: Tender enquiries should be directed via the online forum. This Tender uses two (2) tender boxes. Documents submitted as follows: 1) The first tenderer document "07849 Section B Part A" is to be used to submit Section B Part 1 Commercial Schedules into tender box 1; and 2) The second tenderer document "07849 Section B Part B" is to be used to submit Section B Part 2 Technical Schedules and all other Tender documentation into tender box 2.
