Overview MidCoast Council is seeking an experienced, technical, professional Bridge Specialist to undertake the role of Technical Expert and Principal Project Manager, managing the replacement of the Tiri and Bight Bridges. About In May 2025, MidCoast Council encountered a record breaking flood event that severely impacted critical infrastructure, which is now eligible for replacement under the NSW Reconstruction Authority (NSW RA) guidelines. NSW RA has confirmed eligibility for the replacement of the Tiri and Bight Bridges, enabling MidCoast Council to commence detailed design, procurement planning, and project management of the works at each site. With detailed designs and tender documentation nearing completion, MidCoast Council requires the services of bridge technical project managers to manage the reconstruction of the two bridges and associated road approaches. The investigations, detailed designs, and tender documentation for the project have been completed by others. Scope The Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the Project Delivery Phase for the replacement of the Tiri and Bight Bridges. The scope includes: Tender assessment Reporting Contract negotiation and award Construction management Claim assessment Quality, environmental, and safety process management Handover of the completed assets Site 1, Tiri Bridge: a bored pile, 5 span, precast, 95m bridge spanning the Manning River, including approximately 380m of approach road, to TfNSW specification. Site 2, Bight Bridge: a bored pile, 9 span, precast, in-situ deck, 175m bridge spanning the Manning River, including approximately 150m of approach road, to TfNSW specification. Contract Terms and Conditions Construction will be tendered and awarded under two separate contracts, subject to NSW Reconstruction Authority funding approval
