About this tender
Overview Warrumbungle Shire Council is seeking a consultant to undertake investigation and design services for the remediation of the Horseley Street Coonabarabran weir. Objectives The primary objective of the consultancy is to determine the optimum method for remediating the internal structure of the Horseley Street weir by filling the void and restoring the low flow culvert. Secondary objectives include condition assessment, structural assessment and costed options for short term and long-term remediation of the whole weir structure. Scope The Consultant is required to provide all the services required to satisfy the project objectives across two stages of investigation and reporting. Stage 1 Visual inspection and condition assessment of external faces of the weir Visual inspection and condition assessment of internal void areas of the weir, including the low flow structure Visual inspection and condition assessment of inspection pits and road pavement above the low flow culvert structure Condition report and qualitative assessment of weir structure integrity Options, including indicative costings, for remediation of the internal structure of the weir Construction specification for the preferred remediation option Stage 2 Geotechnical assessment, coring and testing Detailed condition assessment of the whole structure Quantitative assessment of weir structural integrity Options, including indicative costings, for medium term and long-term remediation of the weir Construction specification for the preferred medium term remediation option Following the completion of Stage 1, Council will determine whether or not to proceed with Stage 2 investigation and design works. Council expects to engage a Contractor to undertake short term remedial works based on the Consultant's preferred recommendation from the Stage 1 investigation and design works.
