Cascade Pier Upgrades – Statutory Approvals Documentation

Overview The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts is seeking a suitably qualified consultant to manage and deliver all planning, environmental, heritage, and regulatory approvals required for the Cascade Pier Upgrades Project on Norfolk Island. Scope The scope includes: Preparation, coordination and progression of all necessary assessments, studies, applications and supporting documentation to obtain statutory approvals for the Cascade Pier Upgrades Project Achievement of compliance with the Norfolk Island Planning Act, the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act), and other relevant Commonwealth and Norfolk Island legislative requirements Delivery of a complete, coordinated and construction-ready approvals package to enable commencement of works Contractor Requirements Demonstrated clear understanding of the environmental, heritage, planning and logistical considerations associated with projects on Norfolk Island Ability to liaise with Commonwealth agencies, Norfolk Island Regional Council and relevant stakeholders to support delivery of the approvals package Contract Terms and Conditions Timeframe for Delivery: 12/11/26 to 30/07/2027 Instructions to Tenderers Existing project information will be provided to the successful supplier.
