Duty Wear for Fire and Rescue NSW

Overview Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) will soon publish a tender seeking Duty Wear shirts and trousers worn as an ensemble by operational personnel when performing both operational and non-operational duties. This Notice is being issued ahead of that tender to seek market feedback on two draft Specifications. Purpose FRNSW is seeking to secure dependable supplier/s capable of supplying and delivering Duty Wear within agreed timeframes and in accordance with the Specifications and the Statement of Requirements, enhancing FRNSW's ability to provide comfortable, modern, innovative and fit-for-purpose clothing to its operational personnel over the next nine years. Scope Duty Wear is shirts and trousers worn as an ensemble by operational personnel for both operational and non-operational duties, including: Rescue activities such as motor vehicle and vertical rescue Medical first response Storm and tempest response Bushfire fighting, where the long sleeve duty wear shirt is worn as part of an ensemble including the multi-purpose jacket and duty wear trousers Hazardous materials operations, where the long sleeve duty wear shirt is worn as part of an ensemble including chemical protective clothing Structural firefighting, where either the short or long sleeve duty wear shirt may be worn as part of the structural firefighting ensemble Increased visibility upper garments worn over the shirt where safe working conditions on roads require it Tenderers may propose solutions for supply and distribution, or for supply only, and may propose repair services if they offer such a service. Instructions to Tenderers This is a notice of an impending tender to be published in coming weeks for Duty Wear. The purpose of this Notice is to provide two draft Specifications for market review and feedback only. Potential respondents must not respond to this Notice with any product information or pricing, but may provide relevant feedback on the two Specifications published with this Notice.
