Requirements ASC is working with the US Navy and US Shipbuilders to qualify Australian vendors for the Virginia Class Submarine (VCS) supply chain and are seeking high quality Electrical Switching Devices suited for a marine environment, with preference to be designed and manufactured in Australia for use on the VCS Sustainment Program. The Electrical Switching Devices required under this Expression of Interest are various in nature, including but not limited to: Contactors Controllers Electric Motor AC or DC Associated Switching Devices The Electrical Switching Devices will require various procedures as part of the manufacturing process, including the following: Qualification Inspection: Examination and general operation Voltage variation Overload protection Endurance Mechanical interlock Relay setpoint repeatability Relay recycle time Switch setpoint repeatability Effectiveness of enclosure Temperature rise Vibration Shock Insulation resistance Dielectric Terminal strength Inclination EMI Pickup and dropout voltage Noise Steady-state voltage and frequency Transient voltage and frequency Spike voltage Power interruption Leakage current Output leakage current Output voltage drop Voltage ramp rate
