Overview Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is planning to seek technical and construction support services for the Hunter Transmission Project (HTP). This is a future opportunity, with the tender aimed to be released by early September 2026. About The Hunter Transmission Project is being developed as Critical State Significant Infrastructure (CSSI) and a Priority Network Infrastructure Project (PNIP) under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 (EII Act). The project consists of a new 500 kilovolt (kV) double circuit transmission line between Bayswater and Olney, completing the northern part of the Sydney Ring and providing the backbone of the State's electricity grid. As remaining coal fired power stations close, HTP is considered critical for energy security in New South Wales. Under the Roadmap and the EII Act, EnergyCo has several key functions as Infrastructure Planner, including: Making and entering contracts or other agreements in connection with the exercise of its functions under the EII Act Investigating, planning, co-ordinating and carrying out planning, design, construction and operation of storage and network infrastructure Purpose The procurement aims to supplement EnergyCo's internal capability with experienced resources and specialist expertise to support effective project delivery. The services will assist EnergyCo in managing technical matters, providing specialist technical advice, supporting construction activities and interfaces, and responding to evolving project requirements. Scope The scope includes: Package A: Technical personnel to support the HTP team in the management, coordination and delivery of technical activities Package B: Technical advisory services with expertise across a range of technical disciplines Package C: Construction interface personnel to support planning and coordination of site activities with key stakeholders and interfaces during the delivery of HTP Further details regarding the scope, requirements and procurement process will be provided when the tender is released.
