Council seeks these works to improve site amenity, operational effectiveness and to ensure compliance with future landfill cell expansion within the quarry void. The Gloucester Waste Management Centre is located at 385 Thunderbolts Way, Gloucester NSW 2422. It operates as a waste management solution for Gloucester and surrounds, and consists of an operational landfill accepting putrescible and non-putrescible waste, a Community Recycling Centre and a Tip Shop. The landfilling operations are to expand into an unused part of the quarry void and must be lined before use, per the NSW EPA Solid Waste Guidelines 2016. The design and construct tender requires EPA approved designs and a Construction Quality Report to validate works post construction and prior to use. The successful tenderer will liaise with a Council-appointed CQA Consultant on the landfill lining works. The facility will remain operational and open to the public during usual business for the duration of works.
