Overview This is an advance notice to the market from Insurance and Care NSW (icare) regarding the upcoming procurement to re-open SCM11991, the panel of case managers and care needs assessors for the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme and Workers Care Program. Scope The scope includes: Provision of specialised case management and care needs assessment services for people with severe injuries, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, burns, and blindness, under the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme and Workers Care Program Case Managers: providing specialised services across the rehabilitation continuum, from early post-discharge rehabilitation programs to lifelong support, to achieve community participation and quality of life outcomes for people with very severe disabilities and complex circumstances Care Needs Assessors: conducting specific assessments of participants of the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme and the Workers Care Program across the rehabilitation continuum, identifying care and support requirements specific to the participant's injury type and severity, used by Lifetime Care and Workers Care to make and communicate decisions regarding funding, support and attendant care service requirements for participants Delivery of services primarily across NSW and the ACT, with a small number of providers required to deliver services interstate, primarily in the border states of Queensland, Victoria and South Australia Contractor Requirements Understand and agree to work within the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme legislation and Guidelines, available on the icare website: https://www.icare.nsw.gov.au Demonstrate capability, experience and expertise in supporting people from the severe injury cohorts supported by the Lifetime Care and Workers Care Program Be selected from the allied health sector Eligibility The procurement will be open to all Existing approved Case Managers and Care Needs Assessors will also be required to re-apply Instructions to Tenderers It is anticipated that the Scheme will re-open in September/October 2026 (subject to change).
