Mittagong STP Upgrade – Water Quality Monitoring Plan Implementation

Overview Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking quotations from appropriately qualified and experienced consultants to implement the Mittagong STP Water Quality Management Plan. Purpose The engagement is intended to result in interpreted water quality results that support a recommendation for an effluent discharge location that will have the least impact on the environment. Scope The scope includes: Implementation of the Mittagong STP Water Quality Monitoring Plan in full Taking water samples in accordance with the Water Quality Monitoring Plan Having the samples tested Providing interpreted results recommending an effluent discharge location that will have the least impact on the environment Preparation of a Sampling Plan prior to commencing works, in accordance with the Approved Methods for the Sampling and Analysis of Water Pollutants in NSW Sampling Plan content The Sampling Plan is to include (but is not limited to): Methods of access to each site Proposed sampling days Sampling frequency, including field duplicate samples Procedures to collect, handle and preserve water samples for the various analytes, as well as the required tools, equipment, containers and devices Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures to ensure that the data collected is accurate, reliable, complete and representative of the conditions being assessed Consultants are to allow two (2) weeks for Council to review the Sampling Plan before sampling commences. If there are any discrepancies, ambiguities, contradictions or inconsistencies between Volume 1 - Specification and the Water Quality Monitoring Plan, the Water Quality Monitoring Plan will take precedence. Contractor Requirements Appropriately qualified and experienced in the delivery of water quality monitoring and testing services The Sampling Plan must be prepared by a suitably trained person, in accordance with the Approved Methods for the Sampling and Analysis of Water Pollutants in NSW Instructions to Tenderers Council invites quotations in accordance with the Invitation and the following accompanying documents: Volume 1 - Specification Volume 1a - Appendices A - B Volume 2 - Response Schedules Volume 3 - Conditions of Contract Any published Addenda A more detailed brief of the extent of services required by Council is set out in Volume 1 - Specification, included as part of the Request for Quotation documentation.
