About this tender
Overview Western Local Land Services is seeking suitably qualified Professional Kangaroo Harvesters for appointment to a panel to support the delivery of a targeted kangaroo management program across Western New South Wales. Purpose The program aims to assist landholders in areas experiencing significant grazing pressure and animal welfare impacts associated with overabundant kangaroo populations. The panel will be used to engage contractors to travel to priority locations identified by Western LLS to facilitate commercial kangaroo harvesting in remote areas and undertake approved non-commercial culling activities where required. Commercial harvesting remains a business-as-usual activity undertaken under existing regulatory arrangements, with program support focused on improving access to remote locations and increasing the availability of professional kangaroo management services. Scope The scope includes: Travel to priority locations identified by Western LLS to facilitate commercial kangaroo harvesting in remote areas Undertaking approved non-commercial culling activities where required Carrying out all harvesting and culling activities with the explicit consent of the participating landholder and in accordance with applicable licences, harvest quotas and regulatory requirements Project induction and planning Travel to nominated properties Delivery of harvesting and/or culling activities Data collection Reporting and invoicing in accordance with Work Order requirements Contractor Requirements Hold and maintain the required licences, accreditations, insurances, training certificates, competencies and equipment necessary to undertake services safely Comply with the National Code of Practice for the Humane Shooting of Kangaroos and Wallabies for Commercial Purposes, and as required by LLS Instructions to Tenderers Tenderers may submit questions or requests for clarification up to two weeks after the RFT is released.
