North Wagga Levee Upgrade – Electrical Clearance Assessment & Rectification Works
Tender Overview
About this tender
Wagga Wagga City Council (Council/the Client) invites quotations from suitably qualified electrical infrastructure contractors and/or electrical engineering consultants (the Contractor) to investigate, design, obtain approvals for, and undertake all works necessary to maintain statutory clearances to overhead electrical assets impacted by the North Wagga Levee Upgrade Project. The levee upgrade works involve raising sections of the flood levee embankment, road intersections, property access points and associated earthworks. These works may reduce existing electrical safety clearances beneath overhead distribution infrastructure. The Contractor shall assess all affected locations and undertake the necessary design, approvals, construction, testing and commissioning activities required to ensure compliance with all relevant electrical utility requirements, Australian Standards and statutory obligations. Council seeks to engage a suitably qualified Contractor to provide a complete design-and-construct solution for the assessment and rectification of these clearance deficiencies. The Contractor shall provide all labour, supervision, plant, materials, engineering, approvals, traffic management, testing, commissioning and documentation necessary to complete the works. PRE-TENDER BRIEFING: A pre-tender briefing will be held on Tuesday 14th June at 11AM. The meeting point is at the corner of Mill Street and East Street, North Wagga. Registration to attend the briefing can be made via email procurement@wagga.nsw.gov.au. Whilst this briefing is NOT compulsory, consultants are encouraged to attend to obtain firsthand understanding of the works required. RETURNABLE SCHEDULES: These Tender Returnable Forms & Schedules must be completed and returned as a minimum.
How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
