Seven Mile Creek Crossing D&C Upgrade

Overview Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking qualified commercial entities to undertake the design and construction of an Armco Culvert upgrade located at Seven Mile Creek on Mount Darragh Road. Scope The scope includes: Excavation and backfilling associated with bridgeworks, including earth retaining structures Cofferdams and shoring Mass concrete blinding layers Backfilling of excavations up to the adjacent surface level, and backfilling to the levels shown on the Design Documentation drawings, including behind bridge abutments and earth retaining structures Manufacture and driving of precast reinforced concrete piles Manufacture and driving of precast prestressed concrete piles Bridgeworks, including supply of all concrete, cement mortar and grout for cast-in-place and precast concrete members; design, construction, erection and removal of formwork; supply, fabrication and fixing of steel reinforcement and other embedded items; and placing, compacting, finishing and curing of concrete, cement mortar and grout Demolition of an existing structure and disposal of the demolition waste, which may or may not contain contaminated material Supply and driving of H-section steel piles Supply and driving of tubular steel piles, including filling the tubular piles with concrete where applicable Construction of no fines concrete (NFC) subbase, including constituent materials, concrete mix design, production and transport of NFC, NFC subbase paving, survey, and sampling and testing against conformity criteria Supply of concrete and construction of the base (upper) layer of pavement, including plain concrete pavement, continuously reinforced concrete pavement, jointed reinforced concrete pavement, and steel fibre reinforced concrete pavement, covering concrete materials, mix design requirements, process control and manufacture of base, end product criteria, quality systems, plant requirements, and sampling and testing requirements Earthworks for roadworks to create a stable formation suitable for pavement construction, including controlled excavation, selection and placement of materials, and use of Foundation Treatments and Structural Treatments, carried out in conjunction with surface and subsurface drainage and environmental control measures The Specification does not cover backfilling from the natural surface level up to the underside of the sill beam at "spill-through" bridge abutments (refer to Specification TfNSW D&C R44), backfilling against and over culverts or box section underpasses (refer to Specification TfNSW D&C R11), or backfilling for reinforced soil walls (refer to Specification TfNSW D&C R58). The NFC subbase requirements are not applicable to NFC used as a structural subbase layer in an asphalt composite pavement. Tender Briefing A non-mandatory onsite tender briefing will be held.
