Mortuary, Community Services, Transport, Transfer Project goals: • Ensure safe, respectful, and timely transfer of deceased persons across the South Coast PD region, maintaining dignity, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and sensitivity to cultural and community needs. • Deliver a reliable and responsive service model that provides value for money, supported by qualified staff, appropriate equipment, and strong coordination with hospitals, coronial services, and other stakeholders. Scope: The Services require that the Supplier collects one or more deceased remains, which may be in varying circumstances depending on the person and manner of their death, and transport the deceased remains to a given location. This is usually on behalf of the NSW Coroner, under the direction of the NSWPF. Usually involves short distance travel from the Nominated Operational Base to the scene of the deceased remains for collection however, some regional locations may constitute longer travel times and/or distances. Vehicles with refrigeration capabilities are generally required.
