About this tender
Overview Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking a contractor for the Tree Fern Creek Rainforest Restoration Project (TCFP008), to expand an existing stand of subtropical lowland rainforest by approximately 2.49 hectares. About The rainforest restoration site is located between Mackays Road and Banana Road in the Coffs Harbour LGA and is currently owned by TfNSW. The land has previously been cleared for agricultural purposes, with the existing vegetation dominated by exotic pasture grasses (Setaria) and approximately 90 large and medium sized camphor laurel trees. The site will remain in public ownership and will be protected to ensure the conservation values of the rehabilitated site are not negatively impacted by any future development activities. Purpose The objective of the project is to restore the previously cleared land into a subtropical lowland rainforest community. A site action plan titled Tree Fern Creek Restoration Site Action Plan (May 2026) has been prepared to provide specific direction on the methods and requirements to be implemented in restoring the site. Scope The scope includes all activities to complete the supply, installation and maintenance of the works outlined in the Tree Fern Creek Rainforest Restoration Site Action Plan (May 2026) documentation and specifications, and handover of the completed works. Activities that must be undertaken by the Contractor as part of the Contractor's Scope of Works during the design and construction include, but are not limited to: Works as outlined in the Tree Fern Creek Rainforest Restoration Site Action Plan (May 2026) Works in accordance with R179 Tree Fern Creek Rainforest Restoration (May 2026) Workplace Health and Safety Management, including implementation of a safe system of work and measures for each applicable TfNSW Critical Risk noted in the Risk Management Matrix, Annexure G1/D Environmental management, including stockpile management, erosion and sediment control, noise management for works undertaken at night, procedures for spill management, and procedures for dust control Site mobilisation, establishment, site access arrangements, restoration and demobilisation Materials conformance testing and quality assurance Landscape works including site preparation, supply and planting of containerised plant materials (including mulching, fertilising and staking), watering and maintenance after planting Contract Terms and Conditions Contract type: Schedule of Prices, Supply, Installation and Maintenance Contract Contract No. 26.0000130225.0241 The work must be carried out in its entirety in strict accordance with the true intent and purpose of the Conditions of Contract, specifications, the Tree Fern Creek Rainforest Restoration Site Action Plan (May 2026), and supporting documents Instructions to Tenderers Any Price and Non-price percentage published under Evaluation/Weighting as part of this opportunity advertisement is the default setting of a mandatory field and does not apply to this opportunity.
