The objective of this RFP is to identify and engage an operator for school waste management services at Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS).The Catholic school system in the Archdiocese of Sydney educates more than 70,000 students in 147 schools. The successful Respondent (the Service Provider) will be required to provide waste management services and recycling to all Schools and offices across Sydney Objectives include high-quality service, Sydney metro coverage, risk mitigation, WHS standards, waste reduction, and compliance with legislation (EPA, Fair Work etc.) Respondents must be able to service the following: WSC 1 - General Waste: Landfill waste; excludes hazardous/construction waste. WSC 2- Paper Cardboard Recycling: Cardboard, paper. WSC 3 - Commingled Recycling: Glass, rigid plastics, aluminium cans, paper. WSC 4 - Food and Garden Organics (FOGO): Biodegradable waste. WSC 5 - Green Waste: Biodegradable garden and organic material. WSC 6 - Grease Traps: Removal of "Trade Waste" fats and oils; valid EPA Waste Transporter Licence. WSC 7 - Document Destruction: Destruction of confidential documents. Certificate of destruction required. WSC 8 - Bin Hire: Skip bins for non-hazardous waste.
