This forward works programme is a high-level report to provide the supply market with a pipeline of planned infrastructure projects across Council's major spend areas. The dates provided are indicative only and are subject to change depending on the design readiness, investigation delays and consent delays. We anticipate updating the programme every quarter. From the time this report is prepared, some of the projects in the programme may have already been issued to the market or being tendered. Projects within the programme may get re-prioritised depending on the budget availability, Council/Local Board priorities and other factors. Auckland Council has several panels of suppliers in place through various market exercises as part of the category strategies and bulk of this forward programme will be delivered through the existing supplier panels as closed tenders. The majority of minor infrastructure projects for Parks & Community Facilities are delivered through Council’s Facilities Maintenance contractors (<$100k) for delivery efficiencies and synergies. Please see excel spreadsheet for more information. A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
