Overview Rotorua Lakes Council (RLC) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced construction contractors for the delivery of the Rotorua Lakes Council Civic Centre Re-Roofing Project located at 1061 Haupapa Street, Rotorua. About The Civic Centre Roof is the original approximately 1,600m2 roof from 1986 and is in urgent need of replacement. Scope While the design remains under development, the anticipated scope of works is expected to include, but not be limited to: Removal and replacement of existing membrane roofing systems Replacement of existing concrete tiled roofing systems with long-run aluminium roofing systems Renewal of terrace and balcony waterproofing systems Renewal and upgrading of roof drainage systems including gutters, outlets, flashings and associated rainwater infrastructure Remediation of roof penetrations and roofing interfaces Replacement and upgrading of atrium glazing systems Roof access and maintenance improvements Remediation works associated with the eastern fire egress stair enclosure Structural modifications and strengthening works where required Building envelope improvements associated with weather-tightness performance Investigation and remediation of concealed defects discovered during construction Associated builder's work, demolition, protection works and reinstatement The final scope of works will be confirmed through the ongoing detailed design process.
