Overview The New Zealand Transport Agency is seeking tenders for a Physical Works contract for the replacement of the Coal Creek Overbridge. Scope The permanent contract works include: Operation and maintenance of the temporary bypass for the duration of construction Demolition and removal of the existing bridge Construction of a new two-lane, 75m long (nominal), three span bridge over the Rapahoe Branch line, north of Greymouth (SH6), on a similar road alignment Ground improvement using large diameter piles for long-term stability Ground improvement/pinning for temporary and permanent embankment stability and construction of a mechanically stabilised earth retaining wall General earthworks associated with the bridge approaches Pavement, surfacing and traffic services Miscellaneous drainage works Removal of the temporary bypass and associated rehabilitation Contractor Requirements Prequalification to Level 3B Bridge Construction and 4B Construction, and KiwiRail Pre-Qualification Tier 1 and 2, under the terms of the Transport Agency's Prequalification System Instructions to Tenderers Electronic copies of the RFT documentation are attached to this advertisement.
