About this tender
Overview The Department of Conservation (DOC) is seeking proposals from suitably qualified suppliers to provide a design and build solution for a new toilet facility at Home Bay Campground, Motutapu Island. Purpose The project is required following the closure of the existing southern campground toilet block due to geotechnical slip risk, and aims to restore and improve the level of service provided to campground visitors. Scope The scope includes: Concept and detailed design, supply, transport, installation, commissioning and handover of a new centrally located toilet block, together with all associated infrastructure Architectural, structural, plumbing and electrical design Consenting support where required Integration and commissioning of the existing wastewater system Reuse of existing solar infrastructure where practical Decommissioning and demolition of the existing southern toilet block and associated wastewater infrastructure once the new facility is operational Contractor Requirements Provision of a durable, low-maintenance and accessible solution suitable for a remote coastal environment Design life of at least 30 years High standards of health and safety, environmental management and visitor experience Proven experience in design-build delivery, wastewater infrastructure, and remote or island-based construction projects Instructions to Tenderers DOC is undertaking this procurement through an open competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
