Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a main contractor to carry out electrical, heating and internal works at Blocks 1, 4, 20 and 29 at Whangarei Primary School. This tender also includes potential additional rights for other, lower value projects. Scope The scope includes: Switchboard replacement at Block 4 Heat pump replacement and relocation at Blocks 1, 4 and 20 Internal refurbishment works, including carpet, doors, windows and hardware, at Blocks 1, 20 and 29 Contractor Requirements This RFT is for a main contractor only; tenders for separate portions of the works will not be considered in any instance Contract Terms and Conditions The Contract Works will be delivered in two stages, wholly within school holiday periods Stage 1: October 2026 school holidays Stage 2: December 2026/January 2027 Christmas holidays Each stage must be fully handed over before resumption of school operations Additional rights for other projects of a lower value are included in this tender
