Overview Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking a supplier to repurpose, renovate and extend an existing garage to create a commercial kitchen at the Korowai Manaaki Youth Justice residence in Auckland. About Oranga Tamariki has engaged an architect to provide architectural drawings, building consent, and consultants' drawings for this project. Southern Hospitality will supply the kitchen equipment and will work with the successful Respondent, if any, to ensure the design and build are set up for the successful installation of the equipment in the agreed positions within the kitchen. Purpose Meals for the residence are currently prepared, packaged and delivered from outside the site, which can result in meals arriving late and cold. The new commercial kitchen is intended to address this issue. Scope The scope includes: Repurposing, renovating and extending an existing garage to create a commercial kitchen at the Korowai Manaaki Youth Justice residence Working with Southern Hospitality to ensure the design and build support the successful installation of supplied kitchen equipment in the agreed positions within the kitchen Contract Terms and Conditions Oranga Tamariki anticipates the new kitchen being up and running by 30 June 2027.
