Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a main building or roofing contractor to carry out the repitch of the gym roof at Whanganui Girls' College. Scope The scope includes: Removal and replacement of the existing roof to the changing rooms and associated rooms with a new membrane roofing system Creation of the required roof fall to improve drainage Remediation of roof penetrations Replacement of spouting Associated drainage works to ensure a watertight and compliant roofing system Contractor Requirements Contractors must visit site for the tender to be compliant Contract Terms and Conditions A Building Consent and BEA review is required. The Ministry of Education Construction Observation Team will monitor the works to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards. Dependent on Ministry of Education funding approval, the work would ideally start as soon as possible after confirmation is provided, though timing will be discussed with the successful contractor and school once funding approvals are confirmed.
