Overview Health NZ, Counties Manukau District (Health NZ), is seeking a Main Works Contractor (Contractor) to deliver the construction works (the Works) required for the Edmund Hillary Building New Inpatient Ward (the Project). Purpose The purpose of this Open Registration of Interest (ROI) is to identify respondents with the strongest demonstrated capability, capacity, relevant healthcare experience, and suitability to deliver construction works in a live operational hospital environment. Scope Refurbishment of approximately 500 square metres of existing allied health office space on the ground floor of Edmund Hillary Ward at Middlemore Hospital into a 19-bed transition ward Contractor Requirements Demonstrated capability and capacity to deliver the Works Relevant healthcare experience Suitability to deliver construction works in a live operational hospital environment Meeting all mandatory preconditions and due diligence requirements to be shortlisted for the Request for Tender (RFT) Instructions to Tenderers This ROI for Main Contractor services is the first stage in a two-stage process, the second stage being the Closed Request for Tender (RFT). The 3-4 highest ranked respondents, subject to meeting all mandatory preconditions and due diligence requirements, will be shortlisted to participate in the future RFT. The RFT will be issued subject to funding approval. The conclusion of the RFT will identify a preferred Main Contractor for the Project with whom Health NZ may enter into a construction contract.
