About this tender

This is a notice to advise of the ERP Category within the Enterprise Software Channel. The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) invites from suppliers of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solutions who are the original creators and current owners of their ERP software, to start the on-boarding process to Marketplace to provide New Zealand Government Agencies a standards-based approach to ERP procurement and implementation. The Category will identify ERP systems that can align with a standards-based approach, delivering critical outcomes in consistency, accountability, and performance across the public sector. By certifying ERP systems that meet the requirements, we aim to standardise processes, enhance accountability across agencies, and improve overall operational performance. This approach will also ensure data integrity, streamline compliance, and provide reliable, timely insights for decision-making, while fostering collaboration, reducing duplication, and streamlining the procurement and integration of ERP systems. Further information with a short guide on the required steps is available in addendum 8. Please check Addendum 3 for the updated Standing Invitation document. Marketplace simplifies how the NZ Government buys and lowers the barriers for suppliers to provide services. It’s open to all suppliers who meet the entry criteria – no current contract with government is needed. It has standardised commercial terms – a single set to cover all government customers. This notice is to invite suppliers to apply for Payroll Services that are now open on Marketplace. How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
