Overview The Department of Corrections | Ara Poutama Aotearoa invites suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractors to register their interest in delivering the Waikeria Construction Project (Phase Two Expansion). Purpose This Registration of Interest (ROI) is the first stage of a two-stage procurement process and will be used to identify and shortlist Main Contractors with the demonstrated experience, capability, capacity and financial resilience required to successfully deliver a project of this scale and complexity. Shortlisted Respondents will be invited to participate in a closed RFP process. Scope The scope includes: Construction of three new accommodation buildings and associated infrastructure, providing up to 948 physical beds Delivery under a traditional build-only model using an NZS 3910:2023 construction contract Contractor Requirements Demonstrated experience, capability, capacity and financial resilience required to successfully deliver a project of this scale and complexity Tender Briefing A site briefing is proposed for interested Main Contractors.
