Overview Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Southern is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced lift/elevator contractor to design, supply, install, commission, and hand over the upgrade and modernisation of lifts within the Ward Block Building at Dunedin Hospital. Purpose The project addresses aging lift infrastructure originally installed in the 1980s and last modernised in 2003, with the objective of mitigating asset obsolescence, improving reliability, addressing health and safety and code compliance issues, enhancing operational functionality, and extending the service life of the lifts servicing the hospital. Scope The scope includes: Detailed design of the lift modernisation works Lift modernisation works within the Ward Block Building Commissioning of the upgraded lifts Obtaining regulatory approvals Implementing infection prevention and control measures All associated works required in a live hospital environment The works are to be delivered under a design-and-build contract. Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified and experienced as a lift/elevator contractor Any required specialist consultancy services, including design consultants, architects, and project management services, must be subcontracted by the successful contractor, as the procurement excludes the engagement of standalone design consultants, architects, and project management services
