About this tender
Overview Watercare Services Limited ("Watercare") is inviting proposals for an electricity supply contract or contracts covering un-contracted supply, potentially extending as far as 2040. This RFP is issued on behalf of Watercare, an organisation controlled by Auckland Council. Purpose Watercare is seeking best value for money across a long-term electricity portfolio. Watercare is willing to hold a portfolio of instruments at varying levels of price and volume certainty to manage its exposure to electricity price risk accordingly. Scope The scope includes: Provision of electricity supply covering a load of 124–151 GWh pa (FY24–FY25), currently held under 3 contracts Respondents may submit offers covering the load in full or in part Support for Watercare's renewable energy objectives, including the extent to which renewable energy certificates can be provided Watercare will evaluate combinations of offers to determine an optimal coverage ratio and reserves the right to apportion volume across multiple respondents and product types.
