Overview The Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety (QLD) is seeking outsourced non-government service providers to deliver Connecting Kin, Equipping Kin, Supporting Kin, and Supporting Foster Care services under this opportunity. Scope The scope includes: Connecting Kin (T210): Targeted family mapping and engagement leading to new family connection or family members making application to be assessed as kinship carers, with an engagement focus. Services may work in conjunction with current regional Child Safety Finding Kin teams. Equipping Kin (T211): Supporting initial kinship carer assessments, including provisional approval assessments, and providing all necessary supports to have kinship carers approved so they can commence caring, with an assessment focus. Services may work in conjunction with current regional Child Safety Finding Kin teams. Supporting Kin (T212): Supporting approved kinship carer households, including provisional approved carers, and supporting all ongoing assessments and renewals. Supports are focused on kinship care households to support care arrangements and ensure family remain caring for as long as required, with a retention focus. Supporting Foster Care (T214): Supporting approved foster carer households, including provisional approved carers, and supporting all ongoing assessments and renewals. Supports are focused on foster carer households to support care arrangements and that foster carers remain engaged and caring for as long as possible, with a retention focus. This service also responds to care arrangement requests via Unify, manages up-to-date foster care agreements, and supports care arrangement matching with the pool of approved foster carers.
