The Department of Education is seeking information from the market to support its review of Data Backup and Recovery services across its school, corporate and data centre environments. This Request for Information (RFI) forms part of a broader program of work to understand current challenges, validate requirements and inform future planning and procurement activities. Further information regarding the project, current environment, requirements and desired outcomes is provided throughout this document. This RFI represents an important opportunity for suppliers to contribute their insights, experience and market knowledge to help inform the Department's future direction. The Department welcomes supplier participation and values the time and expertise invested in responding to this request. NOTE - This is an RFI Process only. No formal evaluation or contract will be awarded from this process.
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
