Overview Douglas Shire Council invites quotations from a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to research and develop a scoping study into the need for, and next steps to develop, a Marine Industry Precinct on a greenfield site in Port Douglas. Scope The scope includes: Researching the current state of the local and statewide marine industry through research and engagement with stakeholders Identifying benefits, opportunities and challenges associated with developing a Marine Industry Precinct on the greenfield site in Port Douglas Setting out practical next steps to achieving progress on the identified benefits, opportunities and challenges Purpose A key outcome of the study will be providing the information required to apply for future grant funding opportunities, potentially in partnership with industry.
