Overview Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking to engage an appropriately qualified, multi-disciplinary engineering design team to progress the design of the Childers Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) upgrade project from concept to Issue for Construction (IFC) design. About Bundaberg Regional Council is located in the Wide Bay Burnett geographical region of Queensland. The resident population of the total local government area is approximately 100,000 people. Purpose Completion of this engagement will enable Council to issue a tender to the open market for construction of the Childers WWTP upgrade project. Scope The project involves detailed design and preparation of construction tender documents for: Regional pump station (RPS) at the existing Childers WWTP, which will transfer sewage from the existing gravity mains to a new WWTP out of town around 3km to the south Conveyance pipelines between the existing WWTP and the new site, which cut through rural properties and cross the Isis Highway twice New Childers WWTP Isis Highway intersection upgrade for improved safety accessing the new WWTP Effluent irrigation scheme Tender Briefing and Site Inspection A mandatory site briefing will be held for this opportunity. Attendance is a pre-requisite to submission.
