Overview The City of Gold Coast is undertaking a market sounding process ahead of releasing a tender package for slope stabilisation and riparian works at various city wide locations. About Severe weather events experienced over the past five years have increased erosion, rockfall, and landslip susceptibility across the City. These impacts have occurred in a range of environments, including coastal headlands, creek and waterway corridors, and the Natural Area Conservation Estate. The affected locations contain essential public assets that provide important community services and access. The City's capital works program will fund the reconstruction, remediation, or repair of these assets to restore them to an Acceptable Risk Level (ARL) 4 or higher, in accordance with the City's risk management framework. The City is considering establishing a panel arrangement to provide a flexible and efficient delivery model for planned, programmed, maintenance, and emergent works across this asset portfolio. This market sounding also seeks industry feedback on the proposed approach and understanding of alternative delivery models that will achieve the City's objectives. Purpose The Council of the City of Gold Coast (the City or Principal) is preparing to release a tender package for the scope outlined in the documents. This market engagement process is intended to assist the City in refining project requirements and gaining a better understanding of industry capability and capacity to deliver the City's 12-month, 4-year, and future 10-year capital program for slope stabilisation works. This process will also help to inform the development of a sustainable and efficient long-term delivery program for slope stabilisation and riparian projects.
