About this tender

Overview The City of Townsville is seeking a suitably qualified provider to deliver Superintendent and construction verification services for the Vickers Rd PS C6B Diversion Project. About Townsville City Council (Council) owns and operates the sewer pump station network across the Townsville Local Government Area. Pump Station C6B (PS C6B), located off North Vickers Road in Condon, services the eastern Condon and Rasmussen catchment and currently discharges sewage to the Condon Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) via a DN600 GRP common pressure main. The licensed treatment capacity at Condon STP will not accommodate the future planned residential development in the Upper Ross sewer catchment. The Vickers Rd diversion project comprises four discrete Elements at different stages of planning, design and approval: Element 1: PS C6B Upgrade Element 2: PS C6B Odour Control Unit Element 3: Stage 1 Diversion Pressure Main Element 4: Stage 2 Diversion Pressure Main The design of the above work elements is being undertaken by AECOM. AECOM has also been engaged by Council to provide technical and design assistance during the construction phase of the works. Purpose Council's adopted infrastructure strategy involves diverting flow from PS C6B to the Mount St John STP via a new sewer pressure main system, as the licensed treatment capacity at Condon STP will not accommodate future planned residential development in the Upper Ross sewer catchment. Scope The scope includes: Superintendency services for Elements 1, 2, 3 and 4 Construction administration for Elements 1, 2, 3 and 4 Quality assurance services for Elements 1, 2, 3 and 4 Payment and variation assessment for Elements 1, 2, 3 and 4 Defects Liability Period administration for Elements 1, 2, 3 and 4 Liaison with AECOM on design elements during the construction phase of the works
