About this tender
Overview The District Council of Peterborough is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from volunteers and community groups to support the operation of the Peterborough Swimming Pool for the 2026/27 season. The Role Volunteer Pool Operators Council is seeking community-minded people interested in volunteering as Pool Operators during the swimming season. Volunteer Lifeguards Council is also seeking people interested in volunteering as Lifeguards at the Peterborough Swimming Pool. Council is also interested in hearing from people wishing to operate the canteen. Role Requirements Volunteer Pool Operators A current Working with Children Check A current National Police Clearance Volunteer Lifeguards A current Working with Children Check A current National Police Clearance A current First Aid qualification A current CPR qualification Previous Pool Operator or Lifeguard qualifications or experience are not essential but will be looked upon favourably. Council is willing to provide and fund the required training for suitable volunteers. All volunteers will need to meet the required training, screening and competency requirements before commencing duties. Council is prepared to invest in training suitable volunteers to help keep the Peterborough Swimming Pool open and operating for the community during the 2026/27 season.
