Overview City of Mount Gambier (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of water quality monitoring and control services for the Valley Lake/Ketla Malpi, Davison Drive, Mount Gambier (the Services). The Tenderer shall provide the Services in accordance with the Specification contained within Section D. About The Valley Lake/Ketla Malpi is a hidden gem amongst the crater lakes in Mount Gambier. It is approximately 700m long at the longest point, 500m wide at the widest point, and approximately 12m deep at the deepest point. Enjoyed by both locals and visitors, the scenic surrounds house a large playground, BBQ areas, cricket net, disc golf course, grassy pathways for trails and shaded areas for relaxing and picnicking. The lake is heavily utilised for motorized water sports in the summer months, and is also used for recreational fishing. Council is also interested in exploring managing the lake for more passive uses such as swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing etc. In the past over the summer period the lake experienced algal blooms at times, which negatively impacted on the recreational value of the water body. However, these blooms have not been recorded in recent years. Scope Provision of water quality monitoring and control services for the Valley Lake/Ketla Malpi, Davison Drive, Mount Gambier, in accordance with the Specification contained within Section D

How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
