About this tender
In this RFT, Whyalla City Council (Council) as agent of Whyalla Surf Life Saving Club Inc. (Club) invites persons (Tenderers) to submit offers (Tenders) to supply the works described herein. The Club has a clubhouse at 1A and 1B Cudmore Terrace, Whyalla SA 5600 upon 'community land' owned by the Council. The Club (with financial support of the State Government and the Council respectively) intends for the following to be done on that land: 1. demolition of the existing, two storey clubhouse, sheds, fencing and gates and for the Contractor to dispose of all condemned materials off site 2. disconnection of existing services with termination at a location to suit connection to the new building 3. removal of existing landscaping/vegetation (including shrubs and an existing tree) 4. removal of paving beyond the perimeter of the new building's footprint 5. civil works, as required 6. construction of a new predominantly single-storey, steel-framed, building (incorporating lightweight steel wall framing, fibre cement cladding, aluminium glazed windows, a low-pitched hipped roof clad in metal deck roof sheeting of about 5 degrees pitch) to contain (a) a clubhouse complete with fit out (with vehicle and boat storage garages, gymnasium, offices, first aid room, wet areas and change facilities, kiosk, bar, training room and patrol room) (b) a café to warm shell condition (laid out as for storage areas, offices, recreation spaces, bistro, commercial kitchen and bar facilities) 7. construction of a looped, internal, all-weather, private road connected to the adjoining public road 8. make good and reinstate paving/landscaping.
