1 Delivery Enablement Solution Architect

Overview The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) is seeking a Delivery Enablement Solution Architect to work across delegated streams of work within the Delivery Enablement Program, delivering fit for purpose solution architectures related to the Bureau's solutions. The Role The role includes: Working within a multidisciplinary team of Business Analysts, Solution, Security and Enterprise Architects, Project, Program and Portfolio Managers, and Business Stakeholders Leading the solution design and implementation of an integrated archive solution for the Bureau's data, including infrastructure, data services, applications and data migration Engaging with Business and Technology system owners and stakeholders to establish solution designs that satisfy user access requirements (privileged and non-privileged users, on-premises, and remote access) Establishing solution designs that satisfy Network Services Integration, including datacentre LAN integration, ntp, routing, DNS and DHCP Establishing solution designs that satisfy Application Services integration, including SDLC toolchain and release management Establishing solution designs that satisfy Data services integration, including application integration to data sources Establishing solution designs that satisfy Services Management integration, including monitoring and event management, capacity management and performance management Establishing solution designs that satisfy Operations Management integration, including SOE management, backup/recovery and patch management Establishing solution designs that satisfy Security Services, including IDAM, vulnerability management, certificate authority, secrets management and security monitoring Establishing solution designs that satisfy Disaster Recovery, including fail-forward and fail-back Driving a solution outcome in a consultative manner Producing a Solution Architecture Description, completed via inputs from various sources, consultation with relevant stakeholders and presentation at the Architecture Review Group (ARG), covering Conceptual Architecture, Physical Architecture, Security Architecture, integration with other systems, risks, issues and dependencies, and deployment considerations Producing Technology Options and Position Papers, including analysis of a technology problem as directed by the Enterprise/Lead Architect, market analysis of the emerging and current technology landscape, and consultation with relevant Bureau stakeholders to gather current state Producing As-built Documentation, including a detailed depiction of the implemented solution and its configuration, configuration of systems upstream and downstream that leverage the archive, and consultation with relevant Bureau stakeholders to gather accurate information Providing vendor and delivery team guidance as required to ensure solutions provided by vendors and delivery teams integrate with existing architecture and technology frameworks Reviewing related solution documents and providing formal feedback via a feedback log Resolving feedback via a consultative approach
