Overview The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) is seeking a Senior Delivery Officer / Delivery Program Support Officer to support the DDG Delivery Office Team in delivering the Bureau's data and digital program of work. About The DDG Delivery Office Team provides specialist delivery and planning services as part of delivering the Bureau's data and digital program of work. The team delivers a range of services including: Pipeline and delivery demand management Planning through central facilitation of PI planning events Project and program scheduling Facilitation of planning and deep dive events Delivery engagement General oversight of milestones and dependencies Delivery risk and issues management Delivery tool management (Jira, Confluence and ALM) Delivery vendor performance and escalation management Delivery oversight and controls Delivery coaching and delivery workforce capacity planning General partnering with the EPMO to ensure constant alignment to strategic outcomes The Role The Delivery Officer role plays a pivotal support role in enabling the services delivered by the DDG Delivery Office Team. Work as part of a team to coordinate, manage and report on the delivery of programs and projects to meet Bureau and DDG standards and expectations Provide support to the Senior Delivery Officer and Head of Delivery Office to ensure that projects are being delivered efficiently and effectively and that Bureau frameworks are being supported Work closely with the Senior Delivery Officer, Portfolio Leads, Project Managers, Project Coordinators and the Bureau to ensure that delivery is meeting the needs of the business Role Requirements Candidates are expected to have relevant experience in program/project delivery across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and have a proven track record of supporting outcomes under deadlines, including: Program or large project coordination experience Exposure to MS software packages (Atlassian Jira and Confluence support desirable) Experience with APS employment frameworks and governance requirements Understanding of the needs of data and digital delivery teams
