Overview Lung Foundation Australia is inviting applications for the Lung Foundation Australia - Lizotte Family Grant for Research in Pulmonary Fibrosis, valued at $5,000 (+ GST) over a maximum of 1 year. About The grant is funded through proceeds from the Breath of Life Music Festivals. It was established to honour the contributions of the Lizotte Family, who, after experiencing the loss of a family member as a result of pulmonary fibrosis, have worked through their involvement with the Breath of Life Music Festival to raise funds for research and awareness of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and respiratory disease. Purpose The grant supports research into pulmonary fibrosis. Grant funds may be used to supplement other sources of research funding; refer to the Terms and Conditions for further information. Funding Grant value: $5,000 (+ GST) Grant duration: Maximum of 1 year Funding commencement: Post-notification in Q1 2026 Eligibility Health professionals and early to mid-career researchers with a special interest in pulmonary fibrosis are invited to apply. Objectives Projects with a focus on understanding the biology and prevention of pulmonary fibrosis, aligned with community identified research priorities, will be viewed favourably by the grant review committee. Projects that further focus on priority populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, are also highly encouraged.
