Overview The City of Ballarat is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the day-to-day operation and management of the Ballarat Regional Landfill. Scope The contractor will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Ballarat Regional Landfill in accordance with EPA Victoria licence requirements and relevant legislation. The scope includes: Landfill operations, including waste acceptance, inspection, placement, compaction, and daily cover application Environmental management, including control of litter, dust, odour, noise, stormwater, leachate, and landfill gas systems Compliance and reporting, including record keeping, monitoring, and reporting to meet EPA and Council requirements Provision and maintenance of suitable plant, equipment, and trained personnel Implementation of site safety systems and incident management Site maintenance, including upkeep of roads, drainage, fencing, and general site condition Safe and effective management of site users and enquiries Identification and implementation of operational and environmental improvements Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified and experienced in landfill operations
