About this tender

Removal of an existing 32m light pole and supply and installation of two new 25m high light poles including LED luminaires to be installed at either end of the new West Pavilion at Box Hill City Oval to compensate for the removal of an existing light pole as part of the Box Hill City Oval Redevelopment project. As part of these works the remaining 5 light poles that are fitted with metal halide luminaires will also be replaced with LED luminaires. The upgraded lighting system will be fully dimmable, allowing illumination levels to facilitate specific sporting needs: • 200 lux - Cricket junior training • 300 lux - Cricket senior training practice / AFL training • 500 lux - Cricket matches under lights / AFL professional competition In addition, the system will provide on-demand lighting, available to the community in the mornings and evenings when the oval is not in use by Clubs. The on-demand lighting is to be sensor-activated and set at 20 lux. The appointed Contractor for this lighting upgrade will be required to coordinate with the main works contractor. Oval lighting works are scheduled to be installed over a 2–3-week period in September 2026, strategically timed to occur after the end of the football season and before the commencement of the cricket season. How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
