Overview Nillumbik Shire Council is hosting the Bushfire and Community Safety Expo, a free, family-friendly event designed to help residents prepare for emergencies, stay informed and build safer, more resilient communities. The Council is inviting businesses, government agencies, emergency services and community organisations to exhibit at the event, sharing information, products and services that support community safety, emergency preparedness and resilience. About The Expo brings together emergency services, government agencies, community organisations and local businesses to provide practical advice, resources and support on a range of community safety topics through expert presentations, interactive displays and engaging activities. Building on the success of previous Bushfire Expos, this expanded event reflects a broader focus on keeping the community safe, informed and prepared for a range of emergencies and hazards. Nillumbik Shire faces a range of community safety challenges and emergency risks, including bushfires, severe weather, public health threats and other hazards that can impact the wellbeing of residents. The Expo will attract residents interested in learning more about emergency preparedness, community safety and resilience, with information relevant to bushfires, severe weather, public health risks, e-bike safety, environmental hazards and other issues relevant to community wellbeing. The Expo is a family-friendly event expected to attract a diverse audience of residents of all ages, who will have the opportunity to engage directly with emergency services, government agencies, health providers, community organisations and industry experts through displays, activities, demonstrations and presentations throughout the day.
