Edithvale Family Children Centre Flooring & Painting Renewal
Tender Overview
About this tender
Kingston City Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified suppliers to undertake internal renewal works at the Edithvale Family Children's Centre. The project includes a complete flooring replacement and internal painting refresh across the two-storey facility, which comprises childcare rooms, offices, staff areas, amenities and shared spaces. The scope of works includes removal and disposal of existing finishes, floor preparation, supply and installation of new flooring systems (carpet tiles, vinyl plank, wet area vinyl and entry matting), and full internal painting works including surface preparation, priming and finishing. Contractors will also be responsible for furniture relocation, protection of existing assets, and delivery of a complete, compliant and warrantable installation. Works are to be completed during the Christmas holiday period, with minimal disruption and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, Council requirements, and child-safe site practices. Submissions must be lodged prior to the nominated tender closing date and time. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. All clarification questions must be submitted no later than four (4) days prior to the RFQ closing date. All tender-related queries must be submitted via the online forum within the etender portal. Please note there is a listed Mandatory site visit for this RFQ. All contractors attending the site visit are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and must present it as evidence upon arrival. Council reserves the right to exclude any attendees who do not meet this requirement. Further information is outlined in the Request for quote.
How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
