Overview Swan Hill Rural City Council invites tenders for the construction of concrete shared user paths at various locations in Swan Hill, Piangil and Nyah. About Swan Hill Rural City Council is a local government authority spanning approximately 6,116 square kilometres and serving a population of around 21,000 people. Located along the Murray River in northern Victoria, the municipality includes the townships of Swan Hill, Robinvale, Lake Boga, Nyah, Nyah West, Piangil, Beverford, Woorinen South, Ultima, Manangatang and Boundary Bend. Footpaths are key assets managed by the Council and are vital for the community as they enhance pedestrian safety, accessibility and drainage. Council's responsibilities include maintaining and improving this infrastructure through ongoing construction, renewal and upgrade works. Scope The scope includes: Construction of concrete shared user paths at various locations in Swan Hill, Piangil and Nyah Works divided into five (5) separable portions While Council encourages tenderers to submit a tender for all five portions, submissions for one or more individual portions will also be considered. Contractor Requirements Certain works are located within road reserves managed by the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP). Tenderers proposing to undertake these works must hold the applicable DTP prequalification. Refer to section 2.4 below for details.
