About this tender

1. Supply and Delivery of Feature & cut Sandstone Rocks Supply and deliver five (5) sandstone feature rocks to five separate signage sites located within Hamilton, Victoria. Each feature sandstone rock shall be approximately: 1 metre in height; and 800 mm in diameter or equivalent visual mass. The sandstone rocks must be of high-quality natural sandstone suitable for use as prominent landscape and town entrance signage features. Rocks must be free from excessive cracking, instability, structural defects or other imperfections that adversely affect appearance, durability or public safety. 2. Similarly, a second cut sandstone piece estimated approximately; 200mm (H) × 700mm (L) × 200mm (W) is to be provided Quoters are encouraged to advise the best option with regards to the dimensions for council to consider. Selection of the feature sandstone rocks by a Council representative from available stock is a mandatory requirement prior to delivery. Quoters must provide details of the sandstone source together with photographs of representative samples proposed for supply. A separate contractor is planned to be engaged by Council to undertake signage construction works associated with the supplied materials. The Council project manager will arrange the supply and delivery timing of the large feature sandstone rocks provided that a minimum of seven (7) clear working days’ notice is provided by the Contractor 3. Supply and deliver natural sandstone cladding for installation to the exposed elevations of five (5) town entrance signs located within Hamilton. The sandstone cladding must: Be natural sandstone compatible in colour, texture and appearance with the selected feature sandstone rocks and cut sandstone facing materials. Be suitable for external applications and exposure to local environmental conditions. Be durable, weather resistant and suitable for long-term public infrastructure applications. Free from defects, excessive fractures, staining, delamination or other imperfections that may adversely affect appearance or performance. Be supplied in irregular shapes and sizes to achieve a natural, random stone appearance that complements the surrounding landscape and enhances the visual presentation of the town entrance signage. Include suitable corner, return and edge pieces to keep it to an use to achieve a complete and professional installation. For quotation purposes, each sign is estimated to require approximately 6.2 square metres of sandstone cladding, five sites totalling 31 square metres of sandstone cladding required. Quoters must review dimensions and design details provided and undertake quantity verification before quoting. The quoted price shall include all quantities required to complete the order, including allowances for: Cutting and shaping Waste and breakage Pattern matching Transportation Handling and Any other incidental requirements necessary to achieve a successful and effective full coverage when assembled/installed by others on site. Quoters shall submit details of the proposed sandstone source, colour range, finish and dimensions together with photographs of representative samples. Selection of cut sandstone facing material by a Council representative from available stock is a mandatory requirement prior to delivery. At least three (3) of the seven (7) clear working days is intended to be available to the sandstone supplier to arrange delivery of the sandstone cladding materials.
