Medicare Mental Health Centre - Broadmeadows

Overview North Western Melbourne PHN (NWMPHN) is inviting applicants to tender for the delivery of the Broadmeadows Medicare Mental Health Centre, the first Centre of its kind in the NWMPHN region. NWMPHN seeks to commission suitable organisation(s) to establish and operate the Centre in accordance with the requirements of the Request for Tender. Purpose The Australian Government has identified Broadmeadows as the location for this new Medicare Mental Health Centre, which forms part of a nationwide network and represents a significant investment in strengthening the mental health system across Melbourne's northern and western suburbs. The Broadmeadows catchment is characterised by high mental health need, rapid population growth, cultural diversity and significant socioeconomic disadvantage, and the Centre will help address these gaps by supporting a more equitable and sustainable service system across the catchment. Scope The scope includes: Establishing and operating the Broadmeadows Medicare Mental Health Centre in accordance with the requirements of the Request for Tender Functioning as a highly visible, low stigma and accessible entry point to the mental health system Providing assessment and short-to-medium term episodes of care Helping consumers, families and carers connect with the most appropriate services and supports Working collaboratively with Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals, primary care providers, emergency services, NWMPHN commissioned services and other community-based supports to improve access, reduce fragmentation and strengthen continuity of care Funding Maximum total funding available: $14,336,999.36 (ex. GST) Up to $1,691,939.05 (ex. GST) for establishment Up to $12,645,060.31 (ex.
