About this tender
Overview Road Safety Victoria, within the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), is seeking specialist services to develop updated road safety data products as part of the Safe Local Roads and Streets Program. Road Safety Victoria provides road safety data and tools to support evidence-based planning and investment by DTP and Victorian councils. Purpose DTP is updating the foundational risk datasets used to identify and prioritise higher-risk sections of the road network. This procurement seeks to develop updated, documented and repeatable data products using current methodologies and available departmental data. Scope The scope includes: Development of three core road safety data products: Infrastructure Risk Rating, Collective Risk and Personal Risk Identifying, sourcing and integrating additional infrastructure data required to produce the agreed products, in addition to specified source datasets provided by DTP (including available road network, traffic volume, crash and speed zone data) Methodology confirmation Assessment of source data and gaps Data preparation and calculation Validation and quality assurance Documentation and handover of reproducible workflows Provision of outputs in spatial and tabular formats suitable for use in PowerBI and ESRI based DTP products Enquiries David Noonan david.noonan@transport.vic.gov.au
